OOT is a rime in the English language. There are many words that begin with an onset made up of one consonant as in ‘foot’ or blends with 2 consonants, and then end with the rime OOT as in ‘shoot’.

Root – She dug out the flower plant from the root in the yard to plant it in a vase.
Soot – Trains pollute the air with smoke and soot.
Coot – Children avoided passing by the strange old coot who smoked cigars all day.
Scoot – I’m going to scoot home now before the rain comes down.
Shoot – The soldiers pointed their guns to shoot the targets at practice.
Snoot – She was frowned upon by the snoot who stared at her cheap shoes.
Toot – I can see the lights are green, no need to toot your horn.

Tooth – My dentist pulled out my back tooth as the cavity was really bad.
Booth – I went to buy tickets at the booth but they were sold out.
Sooth – The boys left and sooth to say, I don’t know where they went to.
Smooth – These satin sheets are really smooth and comfortable.
